I have seriously become obsessed with the mail!  Has anyone heard anything from their SRs in 09 205?

diannep -  no, there was no heads-up with these people. I was in a meeting with the county ombusman and dept. of aging. They don't know me at all. And, I never did have time to explain myself.  And, I about leapt over them to get outside. They were surely thinking I was crazy.

KCsMom:  When he was telling you that the phone call was strictly to relate info to you, that is probably because he had Navy personnel standing right there with him.  My son gave me a call like that when he was there.  His brother happened to be at my house when he called, so I said, "Here, talk to J!"  He said, "Uh, Mom...I can't really talk now..."  He did say a few words to his brother but that was all.  They obviously can't say:  Can't talk because my superiors are standing right here...staring at me!   HA!  So glad you got the call, even though quick!

The phone vibrating in your bra was probably quite a jolt!! :-)   Probably shocked your co-workers that you reached into your bra to begin with, but then to have you "flee" the building...I would imagine they were a bit dumbfounded...unless you had given them a "heads up" before the call came!  Funny "visual" anyway!

Yeah! KC'smom...  thanks for the info, especially the part about the area code. My husband just got us new phones and I am NOT good at learning new technology so I have not be happy about the bad timing. But last night I was trying to find a lost voicemail and something from IL popped up. I freaked out trying to figure it out, thought I missed his call. Couldn't figure out how since me and the dumb phone have been good friends, even going to the potty together. Now I'm really upset, and then I learn that my voicemail number is out of IL. ???  why I don't know, but it was enough to flip me out. Took a bit to calm down. haha..

Just reading the posts - I got my phone call from my SR yesterday, too requesting more information for security checks. I was in a very somber/ serious meeting at work with my cell phone in bra (on vibrate) when it went off and I saw the 847 area code. I jumped up and ran out of the building so fast I must have made a fool out of myself. Anyway, he told me to pass on the bandaids, they have them there. He said he doesn't have blisters yet b/c he hasn't started the hard core running yet (too busy folding bed sheets). He said his division as a whole has had to drop and do push-ups as a punishment. He did say they do a lot of yelling at the SR's but it's nothing personal. He did know that Bin Laden had been killed, but did not know that Playstation had been hacked. It was so nice to talk to him even though he kept telling me the phone call was strictly to relay information to me.
