Does anybody know where my son's cell phone charger is?!? Gotta put my best mom-skills to work and find it! A quick look this morning before work didn't do it! : )
That countdown clock is unbelievable!
And KCsmom - I agree with all the others have said. Keep talking to us! We want to follow his progress. We know he'll be like Diane's son and a year from now, all this will be one of the stepping stones in his life.
Better get to work! It's a short week!!!! : )
My son is going to Groton and as of June 5 he did not know when he was leaving. He thought he may have the whole weekend but he would probably have 'watch" a time or two. He wanted to know how long we were staying or able to stay.
I am expecting to hear this week.....charging those cell phones and other items yet???? Are you packed????Have someone to take care of the dog and whatever other animals you may have???
I am going to check Walmart for that black folded bag. Thanks for that info.
One nice thing...we have all generated a lot of business for the US Post Office!!!! No need for them to worry about their jobs!
um, personally.... I'd open it for him. I'm sure he will be tired when he gets home and you're basically doing him a favor. Right?
And by the way, I really do appreciate being able to vent my irrational fears of my son 1st: leaving me and then 2nd: not hearing from him and 3rd: hearing about his injury. The ladies on the website have always been non-judgemental in their responses to everyone. Not just me. It is truly a place to go and get stuff off our chests. I posted some fears and thoughts on a different website and a wife of a SR basicallty told me that my behavior was not acceptable. But she did offer an ear if I wanted to talk. Um, yeah, about that? I think NOT! hahaha. I know sometimes I respond emotionally. But other than those few emotional outbursts I am truly a functioning member of society! My goodness. It's very true that unless you have stood in my shoes, you don't know how you would react. I wouldn't have been able to truly empathize with another mom unless I went through this. thanks to all of you for truly being empathetic.
I saw a comment on here several weeks ago and I couldn't believe what i was reading. But, I didn't respond because afterall, this is a place to chat and vent. The women that did respond to the comment provided an environment to continue to let that mom/spouse/family member let her feelings vent. It definitely set a good expample for why we are here.
