N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Ladies that counter is about to hit 4 days!  I bought two new blue candles yesterday.  I labeled one 233 and the other 234.  I will be burning them nonstop the next couple of days.  CoTwin I asked my SR if he knew a tall boy in 233 named Sam.  He answered he did not know anyones first name and said their are a few tall guys in 233.  After reading your post I understand why.  LOL.  SoProud I asked if he knew an SR from AZ that was going to participate in Volleyball for CC and he said yes.  Jake was in the pull up competition.  He said 233 and 234 were the best divisions!  We are almost there ladies.  I can't believe it.  I just want to say again Thank You to all of you.  Your support has been so wonderful.  I truly feel as if we are all one big family!

Sam said there is a guy that is a giant, "unnaturally tall" he thinks about 6'9" or more! But Sam is among the tallest. He will be in the back row. Said he may not wear his glasses to throw me off. I am afraid twin 1 is in the Atlantic Ocean somewhere. He got called early as his ship deployed Thursday.

On our end we may or may not know just first names, on the SR's end they know only last names, however, Sam seems to know first names. He knows Tiffany and her husbands names and about their kids.

My husband called 3 times today :) DIV 233. He told me about captains cup and that he lost his voice for a little bit afterwards. He has said about the same thing.. Not used to not doing anything. He loves his DIV. my husband tells me he is known as the country one bc of his southern accent haha. He says he has made a lot of friends.. I hear them all laughing and joking in the background when he calls so that makes me feel good. I know this has been a hard but amazing experience for all of our SRs.. The 21st can't get here fast enough!

OMG! I received my ribbons today and they are absolutely GEORGEOUS! I kind of want to start wearing it today. Lol   LaLa, thank you so much!

Kim, I know exactly what you are talking about. The other day my hairdresser asked me how my son is doing and for the next 3 hrs I was just going on and on talking about my son and bootcamp  and I think at the end she was sorry that she asked. Nobody else would understand only another Navy mom.

Another great phone call from my SR this evening. His div. did great at the captains cup, he barely had a voice left.. Ha. He said overall if he had to do boot camp again he would! He passed all his test and moving on to final phase of boot camp next week. Hooyah! My suitcase is out, and will be packed up for by Weds. Sometimes I feel like people think I'm crazy of how excited and proud I am... Except for my new Navy family!
