N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Karen, you should of ask Jake, do you know the tallest guy in Div 233?  Sam is like 6'4", right Co-Twin? I was so hoping to meet Twin 1 also!

Comment by SoProud on June 15, 2013 at 9:29pm

It's probably because we're from AZ.  Justin is not nuke, submarine.  I know it's crazy how they don't know first names. Last time I asked Justin about Jake's Bday and he said he doesn't know because they have Birthdays every week. And I remembered Betsy posted her SR's B-day was on the following Monday and I told Justin you guys have another B-day coming up on Monday. He was laughing his butt off.

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on June 15, 2013 at 8:54pm

So Proud I think because you are from AZ and they are both nuke.

Comment by Karen on June 15, 2013 at 8:50pm

I asked Jake if he knew Sam in 233 and I also asked about SoProud's son by first name.  His response was Mom I don't know anybody's first name.  You gotta give me last names.  LOL.  He to said it is boring now although he was pumped about Captains Cup today.  He said the same about wishing for extra PT.  Never would have heard that week 1 or 2.  LOL.  I cant wait to meet all of you and your loved ones on Friday!

Comment by SoProud on June 15, 2013 at 8:40pm

Co-Twin, Exactly the same with my son. He's pretty bored now, he said I wish we would have at least PT. Not used to not doing anything. I must mention he hated PT in highschool, I'm not sure how Sam knows who my son is because my son doesn't know my N4M's id but I think it's pretty cool. I'm sure somehow they figured it out. Super excited to meet you all on Friday! I must meet Sam also!

Sam called from Ricky Heaven,  He said his Div is all sone and did well on everything but still have that one thing to do.  He called twice!! talked probably 2 hours between the two calls.  Tiffany He really likes your husband, he is not the one who called you however.  He said if he had he would have been sweet also.

He looks forward to meeting you and your kids.  He wanted to know who else I know from his division and I said there really are not many from 233 but he knows SoProuds son also.  He asked well how about so and so or so and so?

He said once again how he loved BC and wished it had been longer.  He has learned to be tough, to work together, listen well, eat healthier, clean and be neat and get used to shots.  He even volunteered to donate blood.  He said he will be in the back at PIR with the tall guys. He said the smartest in their Div is only about 4 ft tall.  He wants that long shower in the room alone.

Had a long call from my SR. He's doing great, they were rewarded with calls and a visit to NEX for candy bar and drinks! His first Kit Kat and Dr Pepper since he left Texas! He said he passed his pfa with flying colors, didn't enjoy gas chamber but glad it's done, disappointed they didn't win captains cup and really looking forward to finishing their last task before PIR. Such a blessing to hear he is doing so well.
