Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

What an amazing PIR ceremony..so proud of all our Sailors, they looked awesome yesterday!
Sent my Sailor off this morning at the crack of dawn, he has safely arrived in Mississippi, and I'm on my way back to Cleveland now. It was great meeting everyone I meant over the weekend, you guys were my rock for 9 weeks! Thank you all. Safe travels to everyone!

Spent the morning with Sam, left him after watching him board a plane. Got a call from him as we arrived back at the Navy Lodge that they just unboarded his plane. It has a dent so they have to wait for another flight. If he has too long a wait might go back.

Good morning!!! I hope everyone is enjoying their day today whether airport/GL or just being able to have more contact if you couldn't make it. Thanks for the Italian restaurant options. We grabbed something quick last night but may get him some Italian today.
Anastasia's is a pizza place that delivers to Navy Lodge. We ordered in when we finally got here and their Chicago style pizza (pan on menu) was very good and huge. 2 pizzas are the bare minimum for us but 5 of us could barely finish the large :). We had the medium the next day for lunch. Just an option for anyone traveling back here or knows someone in a later group. Happy Saturday!!

Hope that many of you are enjoying either airport visits or Chicago/GL visits with your new sailors today!  Good Morning!

OMG! I can't believe we forgot to ask our Sailor what terminal they will be dropped at O'Hara and according to the map there are two USO offices at the airport. Any one know where they will likelybbe dropped? And no I didn't ask what airline either.
