LarLar, LOL. I am also apologizing in advance ;-)
Someone said that 932 was one of the Captain's cup winners. That is where my son is. Now he only has Battlestations to go before PIR.
NavySis-THANK YOU!!!!! I had talked to my new Sailor on Thursday, and figured that was it till PIR, so I was being kind of casual with my phone. Because of you, I had my phone by the ready for a looong wonderful call that I was able to share with my husband. He sounded so good! Hugs♥
187 and 188 have four hours of liberty! Have your phones ready and Facebook up, I am talking to my sailor on Facebook right now! How freaking awesome!!
Go Sailors, one and all. Have fun at the Captain's Cup! Thanks again, so much for this forum. This is wonderful and will certainly keep it as a favorite. Told my sailor's recruiter how she did and how this site helped me, he wants to pass it along to other moms. Also, I will apologize and excuse myself now if I bump into anyone of you in the PIR hall as I go to hug my sailor!
Fun day for the Sailors/SRs today with Captains Cup this morning. Hoping that some get to call home with the winners' division numbers. There can be either two or three winners:
All-Male Division
Integrated Division (Male/Female)
Motivational Chant
**The winners of the All-Male or Integrated awards can possibly win the Chant award as well, so there can be either 2 or 3 winners.
Thanks so much, JCWebb. I was very confused on that. I have never seen that happen....where some went Wed night but none went on Thurs night (unless there is a Fri holiday...then they normally don't go Thurs nights).
Congrats to 191/192!
mom2five! Yes, you can bring those snacks into PIR. Yes, the entire PIR is inside--sometimes the a/c is a bit chilly so be sure to bring light jackets/sweaters just in case. It is a little bit of a walk to the hall, but not bad. There are sailors posted with wheelchairs if she should feel more comfortable in one. They wheel her right into and right out of the PIR Hall. Doesn't sound like she will need one, but they are there if she does!
