Who knew that white non-tightie-whities were so hard to find......finally after looking through all sorts of colored displays, I found a couple packages of them at Walmart - thank you Fruit of the Loom! :)
teresac: It is very possible that he had a "watch" and missed the calls with his division. Glad to know the entire division passed so you know you have a sailor...hoping he will get time to call you today!
They got to hit their racks at 8 pm last night rather than 10 pm. I'm sure there were no complaints about that!
Congrats to all of the new sailors of PIR 06/22/2012!
Good morning all!
Thanks mum of 4! You are right! No news is good news!! :)
My guy sounded exhausted......just keep reminding yourself for another 2 days that No News is Good News! You know he loves his mother! :)
I'm trying to be positive, but I wish I would have heard his voice! He was probably too tired? I will find out on Friday, why he didn't call his mother!!! I will cut him some slack, he is probably exhausted and if there was an option to stand in line and use the phone or go to sleep I think my son would have picked the sleep option knowing he is going to see me Friday :)
Oh good I'm glad he will be able to call. My husband is in Div 191,
Lala, the beaches on that side of Florida are Gorgeous (have fun), I just left that area to stay with family until I can move to join my husband at A school in SC.
teresac - my now Sailor told me that all Division 932 passed......not sure why you haven't gotten a call yet, but hang in there! :)
Teresac - my son is in 193 and has not called either. Trying to stay upbeat, I know they are busy and exausted. Friday cannot come soon enough. :)
Yes, lizabsh09: They can call home after PIR so I would imagine you will be getting a nice call from him! Like Lala said, maybe someone will lend him a cell phone to call home briefly after PIR and then he could call from a payphone later for a longer call!
lizabsh, I am not sure about that but I bet if you talk to some other people from your division on this site there will be someone who would be happy to find your Sailor and let him use their phone to call you. Who knows maybe they will offer to take him out for the day with their family if he would like to go :-) We have a great bunch of Moms, wives, grandmas, girlfriends, sisters etc on here so Hopefully someone will see this post and make it happen for you :-)
If anyone in this group lives within driving distance to New Port Richey FL (surrounding areas include Holiday, St Petersburg, Clearwater etc I will be there on vacation and I am going to have a get-together for all of my navy Mom friends who would like to join us on Wednesday afternoon/evening. I will have goodies/food and we can all sit around (or in if you prefer) the pool and just have a fun time getting to know each other and talking about our recruits and Sailors. If anyone is in that area and would like to join us please send me an email and let me know. My hubby will be away on a fishing trip and we were gonna do it Monday because he wants to be there but that is our 1st wedding anniversary <3 So, I would love to have you join me and others and you will get to meet my Sailor as well :-) The date is Wednesday June 27th. If you would like to meet but that afternoon or evening isn't good for you let me know and we will set up a another time while I am there :-) I am so excited to meet some of my navy Mom friends!!! My email is uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com
