Yes, marcy.  Your sailor can go on the shuttle with you back to the hotel.  Usually for free!

rickysmom:  Do you want to order division tshirts or Navy tshirts?  You can get lots of Navy tshirts at the NEX when up there with your sailor...and your SR may have ordered you a division tshirt (they design the emblem).  Or....you can order the division tshirt yourself by calling Poseiden Sportswear at:

Hi everyone! Hope all is well. I saw the post about the shuttle service for PIR. After PIR, can our Sailor(!!) use this shuttle as well to go back to the family hotel??

I would like to order T-shirts for graduation weekend. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best place to order from ?

Jennifer I am in the same boat as you. My husband graduates with your husband, our son also misses his daddy too, but it gets easier. Juliebelle I love that post...

I agree with what these ladies have said.  NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS.  The lack of contact also prepares you for times of deployment, where they may be out of touch for a good while (although emails can be received sometimes and even phone calls).

It doesn't make it any easier, though, I know.  You want to hear your SR's voice!  Just keep writing those encouraging letters and keep that phone handy at all times!

Good morning ladies.. In two days its been 5 weeks since our SR left. We are getting so close to PIR... YAY!!! Wallace's mom I didnt recieve a call last week either. But I know that no new is good news. Try not to make your self sick. You just have to remember that they are in good hands the RDCs wont let anything happen to them and if something did happen then you will get a call. I promise I was just like you worried to death but like I said I know no news is good news. Keep your head up. All will be ok.

Wallace's Mom - My SR did say when he got to call that some of his division were down from having dental stuff done......remember no news is good news.  I am so sorry that you are suffering....truly!  It is very easy for me to tell you to hang in there, but I know I would be right there with you not sleeping and sick if I was in your shoes.  Maybe a letter this week?  Saying a prayer right now for comfort and peace for you!

Thanks Juliebelle :-)

Hang in there Wallace's Mom, your recruit could have had watch or maybe even SIQ from having wisdom teeth pulled. If others in that division have received calls then hopefully your SR will get to make up the call. The same thing happened with my Sailor, also in the performing division, because she had her wisdom teeth pulled and wasn't with her division when they made their calls. She was able to make it up a couple days later :-)
