Congrats, Livia!  That is wonderful.  I would imagine that your sister will be able to sit with you for the ceremony.

Livia - congratulations!  That is awesome on the award.  I would ask RTC that question - you can FB them or even call them!

teresac - plan on humidity!  :(   I'm headed to Sarge's on Thursday night - I talked to him on the phone this morning about something else, and he said that there would be plenty of food and he gave a short presentation at 7:00 with information for us.   Safe travels.....when you hear, let us know!   I need to go grocery shopping after work and am afraid to go.  My SR (hopefully Sailor by now) doesn't have my cell number on the list of numbers, and we have no cell service at home, so have to use the land line!   I think I'll go home and sit by the phone until it rings!  :)

My Sailor will be receiving an award in Friday, and so those of us on his list will all sit together in that one section for the guests of award winners. But I'm wondering if his sister, who is active duty, but not on the list will also be able to sit with us. Does anyone know the answer to this?

I've got my phone ready !  I keep grabbing it and refreshing the screen to see if somehow it rang and I missed it!?  I think I'm losing my mind.  I leave for Chicago Thursday morning.  Is there a meet and greet planned?  I checked the weather online and looks like 80's to 90's.  I've never been to Chicago, is it super humid like NY?  I'm from California where there is no humidity.

navymom284, congrats on your soon to be son in law and all the special things going on in your family.

Those calls should be coming for some of you pretty soon.  Woohoo!

RACW:  I don't think the smallest American flags for the children would be a problem at PIR.  I would bring them and ask the sailors at the entrance to the PIR Hall about them.  Or, as mumof4 suggested, you can ask on RTC FB.  Never have been asked that question before???  But we are asked about the signs all of the time and they are never allowed.
