Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 933

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important

Every single concern is genuine

Every single member is important to us

We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello Everyone! My niece is in this division. Hope to get to know all moms/relatives that have children going through this adventure with her.

Hey NavyAunt! My husband is also in this division! Have you heard anymore from your niece in letters? I think I remember reading that she was really enjoying it so far!

Hello Kitkat508! She said she is doing good. Still adjusting. Says the biggest adjustment is the quick showers and said she never thought getting to sleep until 6am on weekends would ever be sleeping in for her:) How is your husband doing?

That's awesome! Oh gosh, that would be such a hard adjustment, I can't even imagine! It sounds like she is doing good though! And he is doing good! I think he is really enjoying it! I talked to him on the phone Sunday and he said he definitely had to get used to being orderly and having things neat! Haha he has always been very disorganized, so I know that part is an adjustment for him!

Glad he is enjoying it!! What they are doing is definitely something I could never or want to do:). They are good people. Is your husband staying in GL after BC?

I'm the same way, I wouldn't be able to last a second! I am so proud of them! And no ma'am, he will be going to Goose Creek for his A school after basic training! It's in South Carolina, north of Charleston! Will your niece be staying in Great Lakes?

That is cool! Hopefully the weather is good there. Are you from that area? Yes, she will be staying in Great Lakes. We will be going there for PIR. The weather should be nice I hear in June. I hope so, cause we are from Arizona. Not use to cold weather.

I am hoping the weather will be nice, too! I think by June it will definitely have warmed up a bit! I keep checking it everyday to keep track of it. And I am actually from Georgia! So it gets cold here, but nothing like what the North experiences! I can't imagine!

Just got off the phone with my niece. She said they got another call today! Good to hear from her. She sounds good! Had all her wisdom teeth taken out this week so she was down for two days.
Got a phone call yesterday. He's feeling much better, got fitted for dress whites, misses us and can't wait till graduation.

I am so glad he is feeling better now! Not much longer at all, he is halfway through!

Got letters yesterday from our SR. She says she has been able to mail letters every day not just on Sundays. Not sure how she got that privilege but we are happy. Hope everyone is getting regular letters coming in and all SR are doing well.
