OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Normac, there is a link to the Meet and Greet on the Thursday before our kids PIR.  It give a lot of detail on what goes on.  I don't remember seeing anywhere that we had to make a reservation.  Look at the very bottom of your My Page after the calendar and you should see the link.

I am still here!  I can not comment on my iPhone for some reason but I read all post and try to keep up with everyone.  We are in this together Div 02 933.

I will try to put some items for Georgia to take to Sarge's party on Thursday evening.  Do I need to make a reservation with Sarge to come on Thursday?

I spoke to my son this morning. He has received some letters, but like you said, can only send out mail on Sundays. They had their swimming test yesterday & he passed. He said he has an excellent squad leader and they are on the fast track to graduate on the 27th. Props. to whoevers Mom/Wife is the Leader of 208!!!!

Yep, like CatMom said, mail call will be M-F after they receive their intial "held" mail.  But they have their outgoing mail collected on Sunday and it is mailed out on Mondays.

Precious2tb,

Actually, Mail Call should be daily where the SRs receive their mail, but they write letters on Sundays and mail them on Mondays to their loved ones---but shhhh, my Sailor daughter was able to write early in the morning and late at night on her own to get letters to each of us!!
