Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Akasha: PIR is inside (a/c) so you should be fine! The walk from the garage is not too bad....but have on comfortable shoes. Yes, although they discourage strollers, they are allowed and in your predicament, I'm sure they would welcome your daughter in her stroller! Take care of yourself!

I have a question about PIR. I'm 8 months pregnant and will be a week from 9 during PIR 7/3/14, and will also have our toddler as well. So as for PIR will it be inside or outside? And I plan on driving so is it a very long walk to the location? As for our daughter I have a small stroller can I bring that?

Thanks for the update on DIV 212. Cathy Jo I really hope we can get a call before the weeks over. I'm going crazy, but for moms I just know its so much harder to stay sane. Hang in there.

Good morning to you........Praying that everyone has passed their tests this week, if they have to go back to "fit" do they usually let someone know ? So how long before Graduation do they usually have Battlestations?

Hi all! My SR is in Div 212 and he says that last week the Nukes in his and his brother division had a classification brief on choosing their class in the Nuke Field. And this week 6/8 - 6/14 is their Official Inspections, Physical Fitness Assessment, and Written Tests. He says that things are about to get crazier and busier so hang on tight!
