For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I asked this in our Triton conversation and then remembered our faithful question answer-ers asked that we put questions here as they don't always have time to check all the discussion groups. In a letter, our SR said some SR's who are "undesignated sailors" and not going to A school have orders already. That makes sense to me, but he also said one AO (Aviation Ordnance) that just PIRed and is headed to A school said she already has orders. Is that possible?

This is so stressful/exciting trying to figure out when BattleStations are and when we get the "I'm a Sailor" call for 231/232...I wish all SR's good luck...if anyone knows more let us know...I know we can't post dates here but private messages are great!!!!

Although they normally start BattleStations for a PIR group the Thurs night a week before PIR, not sure they will do that this week since this week's graduation is on a Thurs and the 4th is Sat. It is possible that they will do them all next week. In that case, they most likely would do them Sun-Tues nights, although possible M-W nights. If someone has received a BattleStations date for 231/232, can you friend request it to me? That would answer alot of questions! We cannot post the ddates here publicly but can private message them.
