For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

We made our hotel reservations today! Next is the plane and car rental. We are planning on getting there early enough to attend Sarge's meet and greet.

MamaValley, I just noticed you wrote division 39, I am thinking it should be 239? If your recruit actually wrote 39 is would not be correct (it happens). I would guess since ship 12 it would be division 239.
I am making that assumption because of the posting about division 240, and that would be the brother division.

Those recruits who arrived at BC the week of May 18th will all most likely have a PIR date of 7/17. Those arriving on the first of the week May 24th, could be in the following PIR. We can only guess because of all the ifs, ands or buts there are to fill divisions and TGs each week.
Hang tight you will all have your form letters soon, and don't worry if it doesn't come right away. The form letter isn't sent until your recruits move from the processing ship into their ship for training. There can be a delay, while waiting for more to arrive!

Son left 7/19, took plane from Columbus Ohio to GL. He is in an 800 division. We got letter on Tuesday. Box came later to girlfriend, I assume!

Hello... I was just wodering when did the recruits with a PIR of 7/17 arrived at bootcamp. I have not received a form letter yet but I am estimating that my son should be graduating around that time. He left for bootcamp on 5/20.

We got our letter today! Very excited. Now to make reservations. My son is in Ship 12 division 240.
