We went through Hurricane Andrew here in 92. UGH! Looked like a bomb went off down in our part of the country. Hope to never go through another Cat 5! A year of rebuilding....over $100,000 in damage. What we pay down here for windstorm (separate from homeowners) insurance is a crime....
Jumanji: Hoping that the storm stays off the coast and you all just get a little rain from it. It is supposed to be nasty down here from some of this soon....we have already had lots of rain, but none today. Prayers that this storm doesn't strengthen to a Cat 1 and doesn't bother anyone.
Great news Jumanji !! We will have lots to celebrate 16 days !! 15 if we go to Sarges' !
Jumanji! GREAT news! So happy you are feeling well!
My daughter will be flying in from Chattanooga on the 17th, is any one taking Sarge's shuttle from the airport that day?
Because her car is not reliable she will have to fly up, unfortunately I have to work and can't meet her at the airport. I'm thinking about calling Sarge to see about getting her from O'hare to Great Lakes, then I can just meet her at the hotel.
Emi- it's God who has the power, we just asked him to use it!!! So happy he answered those prayers so quickly today!
I got a letter today, it was a questionnaire that I had sent him. He sounded so positive in all of his comments. Said he is really looking forward to Battle Stations and moving on to Goose Creek. The first thing he wants to eat is a Baconator burger from Wendy's (Gross!) and what he really wants to do more than anything is go to the bathroom in privacy! He also said that DIV 219 has all of their flags and bootcamp is better than he thought it would be. Not as much yelling after processing days.
I cannot tell you how relieved I am to hear him sounding so positive! But then, of course, you all already know, cuz we're all in the same boat!
Wendy: I sure hope that he/you get updated on that soon. But in the meantime, go on the No News is Good News and prayers that all is ok.
Emi: That is wonderful news! So glad that you can relax now and continue with your plans! We always say to go on No News is Good News since they call you if they are delayed in training and their PIR date changes. Glad all is good!
