Does anyone know if we are not staying at the Navy Lodge but go there with our form letter and gate pass if they would be nice enough to give us a pass to the NEX?

NewNavyWife:  For those staying at Navy Lodge, I understand that they are given a guest pass for the smaller convenience store/gas station NEX...so you can visit there without your sailor if you are staying there!

I would wait on posting personal piks of your SR on here...unless it is a Navy pik that RTC posted.

Many of the rules of liberty are actually rules while in uniform.  The no PDA is whenever they are in uniform....anywhere.  Of course, the no driving while in uniform is only after bc.  Yes, I agree with incognito---the rules are drilled into their heads and they will not want to break any of them!  They have worked too hard for this! :-)

At liberty call, I had the "wise" (NOT!) idea that with all of the masses rushing the sailors, my older son and I would wait in the stands (mid way up...a great place to sit, by the way)...and let our sailor find us when all of the stands were empty.  We stood up and waited....and waited....Well....didn't work out.  We had to go find him...busily chatting away with some of his buddies.  I wondered if he even remembered we were coming???  Ha!  He said he had not seen us during PIR because he focused straight ahead the whole time in order to keep his "military bearing."  Funny thing...we couldn't spot him either...even with our zoom lens....he is short and was "buried" in the pack.  He had told me where he would be standing in his division, but they "change formation" when they round the hall so I got totally confused!

lizzy:  Don't think he can even have the phone after PIR, from what we know.  He will need to transfer over to GL, have you pick him up for liberty, and then he can return with what he is allowed to.  He can call you to pick him up with his phone card.  I feel sure he can return to A School base after liberty with his cell.

no all nighter for me as it will probably be my last night of sleep for a week.  I will keep the candle burning...well the real ones go out before bed but the battery operated will be on all night.  One in my room, one in my SR's room.

Boo'sMom:  I haven't forgotten I'll try for you...no promisses but I know how I would have loved to see my son before the big day.  I will have to figure out how to download the picture but will definitly try

Love the video.  OMG someone said to make sure you have a baggie of kleenex...I am going to need a large box!  However the video ended with the Sailor's Creed or whatever it is called.  No Liberty at the end of it.
