For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son is stationed in Ca,Lemoore,is the town's name.He is an AZ of that squadron.
I live in Puerto Rico.I have to think when I'm writing,because I think in spanish,then translate...Nice to have a new friend! This is my son's 2nd deployment..
Hi BoosMom, my son is in the same division as your daughter. Is your daughter doing the same thing in all 3 of the PIRs that they are in? My son said that he is carrying the Alabama flag for their PIR, but it wasn't him holding the Albama flag in last Fridays PIR. Also I am so worried, he was so faithful in writing every week and now we did not get a letter last week or today.

It looks like you have joined the PIR 07/22/2011 already, so you are in good shape. You'll just have to wait for the form letter to come. SAVE THAT letter - important - will have your password for getting parking pass. Just be sure to join this group for info everything for PIR

My son left last Weds, May 18th and arrived at Great Lakes the next day, Thursday, May 19th. The "box" came today, Weds May 25. The FedEx pkg was mailed on Friday the 20th. His pants legs were rolled up just like I've been reading in other posts.
