Yes, JakesMom.  Usually they have between 30 min and an hour, depending on the number of sailors calling.  The I'm a Sailor call is a great call!   They will be very tired though after having been up for 36 hrs or longer....they hit their racks about 2 hrs earlier that night.

ProudMommaBear....expect a great call from your new sailor early next week!  The calls come in after 2pm Central time so keep that phone close during those times!

Captains Cup is this morning for this PIR group....lots of fun athletic competition between the divisions!

Good Morning!

When you get your "I am a Sailor" call, do you get to talk to them a little more?

Div 937...any calls yet? I'm getting so anxious! When is BS for their division?

There are no BattleStations this Sunday night. Yes, occasionally there are, but not often.  And, yes, they must pass all final tests in order to participate in BattleStations.  They have until their BattleStations day (for their division) to pass all.  They still get chances after that, and some still make it to PIR (most do).  But if not, they stay in FIT and keep trying....once they pass, they do BattleStations but have no PIR after they miss their own.  Prayers for those trying to pass their final tests....that they will and will be at PIR!

savvysavvv, Looks like your husband has some conflicting information, but the RTC still does not count those under the age of three as a "guest".

Deep breath if you got "that" phone call, don't cancel any plans yet, wait as long as possible. Your recruits still have at least two more chances to pass before BS.

At this point, those that have failed the swim or PFA are moved in to the FIT division. In the FIT division they are given all the help and opportunity to fix what the issue preventing them from going through BS and attending PIR. Absolutely nobody at the RTC wants these recruits to fail at this point!!

As long as they pass before PIR, they will still go through BS (even with a different division) and attend PIR. You will get another phone call saying you have a Sailor.

Hang tight ladies!
