Chris, Have you also written to her to let her know? Her next phone call might come too late to add names. A letter to her, if mailed tomorrow, might get there on time to add names.

This group might not get to make any more phone calls until the "I am a sailor" calls start, and those calls should be starting in just a few days.

Michele:  Laptop, some personal items that they may request....a few civilian clothes (they can't wear them until they phase up, but they can wear them in your hotel room after PIR....just can't leave the room in them).  Just remember that their space will be limited....they will have a FULL seabag, garment bag (uniforms)---both checked luggage, and a backpack.  So it is best for whatever they take to be able to fit in this existing luggage.  You can mail the rest to them at A School.  You give them these things at the airport....they cannot return to RTC after Liberty with anything.

This group forum is the best idea ever....does anyone know what our sailors to be can take with them to "A" school besides their phone?

It has been really nice to have others to talk to that are also going through the same feelings.

Heartbroken I didn't get a call this weekend. I did find out my SR made marksman, considering she never fired a gun in all her years. Pretty proud! Have candle burning for whatever they encounter this week. Prayers and blessings going out to all!

In 11 days, I will be able to actually meet you all in person.
