LOVE the poem!!!!  It's exactly how I feel.

Good morning! I saw this poem, I just wanted to share it with everyone if you haven't already seen it. I know this is me to a T.

Some days are worse than others

this one has been very long

I'm really missing my sailor

People keep asking

what is wrong

I've learned to say "allergies"

Because that they understand

It also explains the weepy eyes

and the tissue in my hand

But I've found a place where I can go

and let my tears flow free

Where I can find day or night

A thousand moms like me

So I lie when people ask because

when my day of work is done

I know I can share my feelings

with my wonderful Navy Moms

MamaCeCe

There are a lot of things that can have them promoted in BC.

For general info (not exact). If his contract stated he was to come out of BC as an E-2 or E-3, there would be things like passing the first PFA (as well as DEP guide pqs, and a written test above the standard 80% passing grade) that could do that. There is also college credits, ROTC, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Nuclear recruits, etc. A multitude of factors can be involved. Much/most/all of it has do with their enlistment contract.

The difference between E-1 and E-2 is pay grade, although that won't happen until PIR. You will see some Sailors at PIR  with stripes on their uniform. No stripes E-1, two stripes E-2, until E-4 which then becomes a Petty Officer Rate.

Ellen0502 I have a question my son mentioned he was already promoted to an E-2. Does that have something to with him having 3 jobs and passing all his PFA's? And what's the difference of an E1 and an E2?

jennifer.....lmao! no worries...it is what it is...what doesn't kill them will make them stronger.

janetmarie63 we will get a call SOON I feel BUT I apologize in advance if my son is one of the trouble makers, lol. He's quite a character, jokester, even rebel so the navy was a great decision HOWEVER he's played team sports all his life and was one of the guys to motivate teammates. He's probably not a trouble maker, but just in case... lol.

jennifer...my son left 5/25...traveled 5/26 to GL

my husband was in the Marines and warned me that they all get punished as a division so i was ready...or I thought I was...lol
