Got some letters from my husband yesterday and he keeps talking about his closest buddy there named Josh... He told me his last name but Im not going to say it here. Was curious if anyone here had a son/husband named Josh and I can see if its the one he is talking about! Feel free to PM me if your SR name is Josh and is in ship 03 Div 230! :)

Thanks for the head up Diannep, do you think it would be alright for me to overnight them directly to her since she did ask for them or since I have a contact in an office at GL, should I direct the overnight envelope to him instead?

Good Morning!  Just to say that they are allowed to have contacts... and makeup for the girls for piks/graduation, so if they ask, you can send these.  But we ask that you don't send them unless they ask.  Nothing worse than being grilled by one of their RDCs on what's in the package?  Of course, it has to be opened in front of the RDC, but it helps when the SR can tell him/her what is in it before that!  You may want to label the outside of the package with the content info well.

@B.B., my daughter is also in Ship 02, Div 937!!  So looking forward to 7/25, I almost cannot stand it anymore.  I did receive a letter from her yesterday begging me to send her contacts to her, she said she can wear them for the picture and for graduation.  Going to try and overnight them since pictures are coming up soon.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and stay strong, 27 days to go ;-)

I'm a happy momma.....got 3 letters today! He is doing well and is looking forward to graduation. He said they did their dress uniform fitting this week and that there are still a few guys who keep getting them extra exercise by talking all of the time. But all and all he is doing well!! So happy right now!

He's in Div 225. I do appreciate your advice as I've not been to Chicago for over 30 years. By any chance do you know what it would cost for a cab from the NTC to the ballpark? There's 3 of us.
