 mornin'!

I have not introduced myself, so here goes (I know big high point of y'alls day!)

FireTeamLeaderWife here!

My Sailor PIR’d on 05/26/2011. He is a Seabee Reservist. I am now a Retired AF Reservist wife (30 years)…I know …not Navy…but I am familiar with military life! We have been through two Deployments…one right after 9/11 and one in 2011.

Our son enlisted while Hubby was in Iraq. This site was a Godsend and helped me get through not only our sons BC experience but my husbands and my separation for 6 months.

I am a “veteran” mom on the PIR groups mostly. I have been on them now since 2011 and we have 7-8 PIR groups running at the same time.

I've been out of the loop for about six months or so...but hope to be able to pop in and lend support any way I can.

Blessings to you all!

Tamara in Florida,

Now that's just awesome you got into the Navy Lodge!  Make sure you have officially cancelled with Quality Inn.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and it was a really nice, newer hotel with a yummy serve yourself hot breakfast buffet.  You would've liked it there~~  Don't forget to cancel here too.

I guess never mind my previous message:)  I just got into the Navy Lodge:)  They said they just had a couple of cancellations so if you tried earlier and they were booked, you might want to try again.

I'm a little concerned because I made reservations to stay at the Quality Inn there in Waukegan.  I just read that there is a bedbug registry.  So, I looked up this hotel and there has been 2 instances of bed bugs and they have a lot of bad reviews.  I also had made reservations at the Holiday Inn Express but that hotel is double the price of the Quality Inn.  Can I get a recommendation of a hotel room that isn't so expensive but has  nice clean rooms free of bed bugs?  It would be great to get into the Navy Lodge, but I'm not sure it's available.

scubagirl:  Your SR is in the last group that will go through Battlestations, so I think that info is correct.  His division/brother division will be starting Hell week a week from today.  But some of the other divisions should be starting it possibly on Friday this week.

Hoping happy memories of your loved ones keeps you going, diannep and jill~~  ((HUGS))  And yes, knowing we will see them again gives us comfort...
