amilynne,
Prayers for God's comfort for you and your family in your brother's passing~~
Hello All!
"But the wisdom that comes from heaven is
first of all pure, then peace-loving, considerate,
full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest
of righteousness."
James 3:17-18
BTW, I used PartyPro.com to order the banner for my SR's Boot Camp party and I have ordered one to use on our door for PIR. They have one with the Navy emblem on it and you can customize the banner. It is 14.99 plus shipping. Total about 23.00. In the website choose custom banners and scroll until you see the Navy emblem. I am not a crafty person so I find people or companies that can make things for me.
My son is on Ship 03, Div 230. He said Hell Week is next week. He said today started Week 3, Day 1. He could have been mistaken but that is what he said. He is not worried about BS21 and told me when he has heard it will be. PM if you want to know when he was told it would be. Let's hope Ship 03 can get their act together. My son was in Marching Band in high school so marching is not a problem, but he said it has been with their division. He said it seems to have clicked with most of the group. Now the talking is another issue. He received a letter that did not belong to him. I guess same last name. He opened it and knew it was not for him but has no way to find the person so he tossed it. After the letter is opened it can not be forwarded and he did not know what to do with it. I guess someone got their SR address wrong. Feel bad for the person that sent it and the person who should have gotten it.
Good Morning!
jill: SO sorry about the loss of your SR's father also....I lost my hubby/sailor son's father when he was just 51. So hard for our sons....but as Christians, so wonderful to know that they are alive in eternity and we will be with them again one day!
The extra chatter is a common complaint in the divisions, but by the end of Bootcamp, they get it together, so try not to worry! The extra IT that they have to do just gets them in even better shape! :-)
Correct, jill. Although some will start Hell Week the end of this week and finish it next week. Their training weeks do not always run M-F.....they can run T-M, W-T, etc....
amilynne: So very very sorry for your loss.....
BattleStations happen when they are on Training week/day 6-5 usually. So....some divisions will be doing BattleStations Thurs night the week before PIR week, finishing on Fri morning (calls in the afternoon). There are none Fri, Sat, and normally not Sun nights, then they resume them on Mon night of PIR week. This PIR group can do them either in 2 nights or 3 nights. You can be asking your SR when they are scheduled....they may not know yet, but should soon. Remember that we cannot post actual BattleStations dates for a particular division on here or FB, but you can post that you have a date for Div ___ and let others friend request/message you for it.
Don't forget to checkout the BattleStations discussion above in the Forum for more info!
Tamara - I empathize with your son's plight, my daughter is ship 02, div 937 and she gets frustrated at the confusion every morning when they have to line up by height as well as the excessive "chatter". this is a daily occurrence and she struggles with why people cannot remember their place in the line. i try to encourage her to be positive and try to lead not only by example but with kind eyes, since she cannot cheer her division on with words.
