Don't give up.  show him you are there for him no matter what.  keep writing to him and encouraging him.  maybe send him some stamps and envelopes and he will be inspired to write to you :)  Hang in there.

My son's GF received letters yesterday along with my daughter getting one.  Each of them got very different stories on how he is doing.  Ship 13 Div 226.  One thing is consistent to everyone he begs us to keep writing so if you don't get anything don't let it bother you as soon as you have address just keep supporting them and writing even if it is just a one sentence note it is worth the stamp.  They need us!

It is quite an experience, isn't it, scubagirl?  Even without your own SR in the ceremony!  Tugs at the hearts of all of us....

Just watched the live stream of this weeks PIR.  Amazing is the only thing to say.  I needed to watch so I could set up my Mother in Law's computer and tv so she can watch on the 25th. I will go over to her house before we leave for GL and make sure it is ready for her to watch. We want her to be able to watch PIR on her large screen TV.  I had tears in my eyes and I do not even know these new Sailors.  Just so proud of them and of our sons.  Just think that will be our SR's in 34 days.  Hoping for calls this weekend for all of us.

Good Morning!

Just remember that there are actually 3 fitness tests.  The first 2 are basically practice....the 3rd one they must pass in order to do BattleStations and become sailors.  This one is given within the last 2 weeks of Bootcamp, normally.
