where do you find the Navy rate?

Cindy:  Here are the ones most mentioned on this site:  Ramada (where MeetNGreet is), Navy Lodge, Comfort Inn, Springhill Suites, Residence Inn....probably best to look up reviews on them.  I can tell you that Residence, Springhill and Courtyard are all nice....Marriotts.  All have the PIR shuttle and are within 5 miles of the base....better book early as some of them book up quickly, especially with the Navy rate they offer which sells out quickly.  We stayed at Residence and it was wonderful.  Free hot buffet breakfast each day, PET FRIENDLY for those driving who want to bring pets, full kitchens, studios and 2 bdrm 2 bath suites.

Does anyone have any first or second hand knowledge on which hotels are the best or which ones to stay away from. I'm no princess, but I don't want to stay in a dump either. I have picked wrong hotels in the past and don't want to make the same mistake. I got the brochure in my form letter but was hoping for some insight.

Paloma,

Hang in there, took 31 days before I got a call last Friday.

Comment by Paloma on June 26, 2011 at 11:15am
21 Days no call yet, just a letter.  :(

Cindy, that is true about the 4th week of training (Hell week) being the "turnaround" week.  They start having that NAVY cap in their sights and start getting more positive reinforcement then.  Breakdown process is over and buildup process has begun for them...letters/phone calls are more positive then!

Or she might night could have talked, my daughter(937) said some had the crud, meaning just really larygistis(sp) and a cough.  She said most there were really really hoarse.
Comment by nicole~a sailors girl(: on June 25, 2011 at 6:53pm
They also could have had their wisdom teeth pulled and couldn't talk. If that's the case they may be able to make up that call!
