Neither his mom or i sent one with him. From one it sounded like there was an older post and it said there was a room with about 40 phones for their use. I don't know if a calling card is needed or not i was under the impression the phones were free for use once they got permission to call.

Florida girl - does your boyfriend have a calling card?  I did not get a call and am wondering why.  I don't think my SR has a calling card and I'm wondering if that's why.  Did anyone else get a call?

Thanks Dianne :-)

Mel, just send me a friend request on here and I will send you the info. I will also send it to your email address below in just a little while. My parents are coming over for dinner for Father's Day so I will send it right after they go back home :-)

Mel:  Lala makes the BEST ribbons.  Every person I have seen post in the PIR groups raves about them.  They are very affordable and very nice.  She sends them priority mail so you get them quickly.  Lala's sailor went through bootcamp after mine did, so I didn't have the privilege of ordering one...but I can tell you...you will have no regrets and she is very reliable in getting them to you!

Those are really awesome! So you are making those for other memebers? My SR is DIV-237. Here is my email address: chemelsalon@hotmail.com- tell me more about this. :)

I have been working on the ribbons for this group and wanted you guys to see one of them. I hope you like them :-) I know you will wear them with pride to PIR and they will help you recognize other Navy for Mom members at the meet and greet as well as PIR. This one is done in gold and some others are done in silver. If you have sent me a message on N4M's and I have not responded within a few hours it probably means I didn't get the message. I have had a lot of problems with the email on this site. You can email me at: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com  Thanks :-)

We also receive the form letter and was happy to hear he was doing good so far!  I am excited to hear the date of the PIR.  It gives me a date to look forward to seeing my son again.  He is ship 09 div 240.  I have made reservations already.  :)

I have always thought it was odd when someone goes on facebooks RTC page and posts Good luck to "John Smith" in battle stations tonight. First it has first and last name and anyone for anywhere can see it except for the recruit that it was meant for. Never made sense to me lol.
