Sorry everyone.  It took me a while to get this countdown clock in the right space!  Still no letters or calls from my SR.  They are starting 2nd week following P week so I guess no news is good news.

No, I didn't think so, BoosMom. :-)   I hadn't seen anyone on here using names recently....but just a reminder!

Hi Nicole-a sailors girl: My son's letter took 1 1/2 weeks. He left 5/31 and we got it this past Sat. It was postmarked June 7, we got it the 11th. So a few more days and you will surely have it! L

Okay. I'm assuming i'm in the right place. Simply because of division numbers. They gave an" estimated" date. I have been writing him daily. Received no letters yet though:/ hopefully SOON:) Its been a week since he's been in basic as of today!

Just a reminder....no SR's (recruits) last names are allowed on the Navy4Moms site...not when they are in school or active duty either.  Navy security issue.  Although first names are allowed, we don't advise using them on here.  We try to remain separate from our SRs on this site--since this is a support group for all of you.  RDCs and other Navy personnel do read these pages...and there is no sense in bringing any more attention to your SRs if they connect your comments with your SR (sometimes they figure it out anyway!  Those RDCs are pretty crafty!)....so best to not use first or last names here.  Not even in screen names, so please doublecheck those.

Yep, you're in the right place, nicole, if you are div 241.  Welcome!  There are never gaps in the division numbers...they go consecutively without skipping....so I'm sure that 239-241 are in this group too since 242 is.  Hopefully, RTC will have it posted today on their upcoming grad page.

nicole-no PIR date? Ugh. That's the first time I have heard that! But then I have only been around since March of this year.

I'm am going to go out on a limb here and say this IS where you belong as there is a 07/242...so that would make that one your "brother" DIV. But don't qoute me on it!

I will keep checking RTC website for you ladies to see what the Navy is doing. Per your posts we have a bit of a gap between 238 and 242.

My Sailors date was incorrect on his form letter as they forgot that PIR was on Memorial Day weekend. We spent a little while tossing it around until it was confirmed. So, hang in there it will get confirmed.

In the meantime just stay here as it is the most current group. Ask any and all questions you like and share with the ladies here!

Welcome!
