Our son has been on his first deployment since June 17th. He was able to email us once on the 23rd of June. We don't know where he is or when he will be back. Praying every day and trying not to worry.

Exactly 1 year ago today, our loved ones became U.S. Sailors!!  So proud, still!  (mine is still in A school, though on the other side of America so I don't get to see him)

KC will be home for 2 weeks. Its just like college where he is - they get a Christmas break. But that's it. No summers off!!

And oh boy! 8 months, huh? Geeeeeeesh. Get ready mom!!!!!

Hi KC's mom;  I'm so happy for you; how long will he be home? Does he call you?

I have been so fortunate to have my son home for Thanksgiviing and as of right now, he should be home for Christmas.

He will be leaving in January for eight months.  We are not able to know where he is going.

I hope you have a blessed Christmas.

It has been a long time! Nice to hear from everyone!  My son still has another 1 1/2 years of training in S.C. before he goes anywhere. I am just looking forward to seeing him during Christmas stand down. It will be the first time since PIR. Good luck to everyone and their sailors! God bless them as they spread over the country and the world serving our country!

HI everyone!!!!! I thought we might all go our own ways after graduation. I am so glad to see parents on the board! Our son is fabulous!!!! He and his bride are nicely settled on Coronado Island . He left on a short 3 week float and leaves for 6 months  on Dec  6. He and his bride have really blossomed... they were always fun but now it's cute to see them making "married decisions"... dates, budgets, time management. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving all!! Oh yeah, one of thiose decisions they made.... we were asking about Thanksgiving time slots... Now married they have in laws, outlaws, grandparents to visit and so do both sides of the family with other grown kids.... our son's request/solution? Thanksgiving breakfast!! We will have our whole family over for waffles, ham, eggs, sausage, rolls....whatever... BRILLIANT!!!!! dishes done and put away by 11 am!!!! leftiovers all day and relax!!! Gotta love it!!!!

Hi BoosMom- He is in Monterey Bay. He says it's beautiful out there and he never cares to live on the east coast again. Um, about that....... when he finishes A school in Jan. 2013 he is getting stationed in Georgia!!  hahahaa. Poor Guy.  Let me know if you ever find a deal on airfare. I'm always looking.
