~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Cindilouwho,
So many things are happening at the same time. The kids' beloved grandpa passing away, your job, and your financial worries--the timing of it all stinks. But the Lord will not give you more than you can handle--and you my lady, have handled alot more than what's going on now. You are a fighter and you have persevered through so much. You will comfort your kids and get them to focus on their happy memories of their grandpa's long life. Each one of our lives begins with an exclamation point (I like to think) and ends with a period. Their grandpa came to his period and he surely loved them all.
In 9 days, someone will surely be unavailable or call in sick (it's summer after all) and you will be called in for those hours. Be positive and as even-keeled as you can be. Don't show your feathers are being ruffled. Look at the flip side of being with your kids a little more during their summer vacation. Has something that needs attention been waiting for you to get to it?
The house payment has been made, all the utilities are still on, your SR can still call you, you have food in the house (are there churches nearby that give out food boxes for families in need?) Maybe someone who knows your story will donate their air miles for you to get to your son's PIR. He's been a feature story in your town. Someone should want to bless you with getting you to PIR. There's 37 days for the stiuation to be worked out. It will happen. God's got it all under control~~ Praying for His comfort to you and your family. HUG!!
Sorry I haven't been here in a couple days, we are in FL and getting ready to have a meet and Greet on Sunday. Anyone who lives in the Tampa/Orlando/New Port Richey and surrounding areas please join our FL facebook group so you can get all the details for the meet and greet and a scrapbook class/party Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/groups/147079298773780/
Also, my daughter/Sailor and her hubby and me and my whole family can really use your thoughts and prayers. My daughter/sailor is pregnant and due August 2nd. She fell this evening and they just admitted her to the hospital for observation. She is having contractions two and a half min apart but they are hoping they can stop them with medication. The heartbeat is good and the baby is moving so we are very hopeful. I know how well prayers work so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks so much <3 I appreciate all of you.
Sorry to hear of your news, cindilouwho. Prayers for you and yours
I'm around. Just no motivation lately. Stressed and worried. Going to my son's PIR is not looking hopeful at this point either. Someone in our family died today that we were close to. That he was close to as well. He's my former father in law. I helped raise our grandson's together. My son and him were the greatest of friends. They took many trips together. Of course I'm waiting till an appropriate time after my son graduates to tell him. :( My grandson's are devastated.
I sent my son out a big letter and some stamps. He's probably needing some by now. Someone bought them for me to give to him or use myself to keep writing to him. I'm pinching pennies until the silver comes out of the inside right now. ha ha ha ha
My cable/internet will be shut off any day now. It's not a necessity in this household. Simply a luxury. I had to stay on top of my utilities and my lot rent. And of course my two phones. My son's phone is the primary line and unfortunately if I suspend his line? It messes us all up. So I paid the bill so he could continue calling. (I argued with the phone people about this).
So if I'm quiet? I'm just not feeling everything right now. I have 9 straight days at work that they didn't schedule me. That will hurt! I went in last night and they had sliced my 6 hour day into a 4 hour day. Fortunately for me a supervisor gave those two hours back to me. I work tomorrow. Then no work for 9 days. I'm thinking about looking for another job but I don't want to burn my bridges with this one either. Took me 5 years to even find someone to hire me! :/
I'm depressed. And praying for miracles.
My daughter is in Division 279, Ship 9 and just called me! We got to talk for 30 mins. So keep your phone near your side! Hopefully you will get a call, too. Her first call home about a week and a half ago was very emotional and hard but this phone call was much better. She is doing great. A little stressed out and tired but hanging in there! Was so good to hear her voice.
Oh where oh where did this PIR group go? Oh where oh where can it be?
Good afternoon!
Good Morning!
"I will lie down and sleep in peace,
for You alone, O Lord,
make me dwell in safety."
Psalm 4:8
Good Morning!
ellen, Woohoo! Have a wonderful time with your sailor.
Good Morning !
