Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

I am preparing for the trip this coming Thursday, and we are driving in. I have looked at google maps, and have found the Navy Lodge, but I am a little confused as to where the entrance to the RTC is for us for Friday morning. Anyone know what street it is on? Thanks!

Yes it will be, taylor'smom. See if your new sailor ordered the PIR DVD ($29). If not, you can order this in the Photo Lab after PIR. It will be mailed in a few weeks.

Does anyone know if the PIR will be videotaped and can be purchased? My mother would like to have a copy. Can this be done without being able to pick it up at the base?

Finally got to talk to my sailor for 30 minutes! I haven't heard his voice in almost 2 months. He sounded awesome! Can't wait for Friday!

Proudmom, We had the same problem. I took lemon elephants' advice and called the PAO. Our password that our SR had given us, was incorrect. After you dial the number, you will want to press 7,3, then 6 to get thru the menu. Do not press O for the operator as it will take to another menu. Hope this helps.

Proudmom: Sounds like the password is incorrect. This has happened before where the SRs had the wrong password, probably given wrongly by the RDCs. Hope that the PAO can help you. Remember, you can always take the shuttle to PIR and not need the gate pass, so try not to worry too much.
