~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Gals,

If you still can't get a gate pass printed, please see my post below to Armywife/Navymom for alternatives to driving and parking at RTC~~

diannep: Thanks for info. Tried Mozilla and Explorer as well as Google on 2 different computers . Mozilla and Explorer indicates invalid password and does not allow me to get to the document. Will call Public Affairs Office in a.m. and advise.

Proudmom:  Try another browser....Mozilla usually works, or even another computer.  Are you typing the password in ALL CAPS?  That is a must!

Good Morning All !

Has anyone had a problem printing their Gate Pass? We entered the Password and can see the document, but when we select print, the page is blank?

Thank you, I'll look up the number for Sarge, I'll be arriving late so I will not make the meet and greet. Will he pick up from the navy lodge?

ArmywifeNavymom,

You won't need the gate pass if you take a shuttle with Sarge.  It is $3.00 per person each way and he drops you off about 50 yards from the graduation hall entrance.  To get back to your hotel, the shuttles will be parked in the lot to the right of the NEX.  You sign up for the shuttles toward the end of Sarge's Meet & Greet the night before.  I liked the convenience of not dealing with the other drivers and knew my Sailor daughter would appreciate stopping off at our hotel room before we went out to get something to eat.

If you still want to drive to RTC, you can stay to the left of the line going into RTC, go all the way to the train station (which is across the street from RTC) and park there for $1.50.

Oh, those who are driving with the gate pass--stay to the left of the long line waiting to get into RTC (waiting to turn right), go all the way to the same train station as above, turn around safely, come back to now make an easy left turn into RTC!
