N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Megan:  If you stay at Springhill Suites, that is right next to Sarge's MeetandGreet.  You could use Sarge's shuttle to PIR.  The hotels themselves usually don't have their own shuttles, but use the local taxi "shuttle" service for PIR morning.  Sarge does the same thing.....same price for both services, I believe.  So I suggest Springhill Suites for you and Sarge's shuttle!  847 212 0246

Can I ask why you are staying at Navy Gateway? Is it just for the rates?

Hi everyone!!

My Husband (Initials FO) will be an electronic technician on a submarine. His A-School is in New London, Connecticut.

I have a question... Would anyone who is attending the meet and greet like to give me a ride? I will be staying at the Navy Gate way if they provide a shuttle to graduation... If they do not provide a shuttle to graduation then I will be staying at the Marriott.. I am flying in and will not have a car.. I have a 4 year old daughter who will be with me.

Thank you everyone, and have a wonderful day!

Hello PIR group members…

Anyone have a sailor going to Pensacola for A school?

If so, we’d love to have you join the Pcola group. Lots of great information, sharing and help on the group at: http://navyformoms.com/group/sailorsinpensicolaflforaschool

Ask the hotel you stay in for their rules on door decorations, but most are lenient with this as long as you do not damage the door with any adhesive.

Good Morning!

Coreena,

To clarify, yes, your SR daughter can ride back on the shuttle with you to your hotel~~

LPM, I suppose if it's done tactfully they will be fine with it. The worse that can happen is they ask you to take it down. My daughter is Div. 267, how about your SR? I don't know what her rating is I just know what she told me she would be doing and she is headed to Pensacola for A school.
