For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 307 and 308
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

So, has anyone gotten a letter or a phone call from ship 13 division 307? I haven't. Hopefully we will hear something soon. Have a great weekend everyone.

Not yet. I'm going to stalk the mailbox and mailperson when I get home. I am hoping that we will get a call this weekend since it sounds like others with that PIR date got one. Its a wait and see kinda thing.

I got home - ran to the mailbox and found junk mail and a bill for getting my car fixed. I have been carrying my phone everywhere so I don't miss a call. Oh well, patience, patience, patience....I'm not very good at this!

I think we're all in this waiting game . It's tuff. Patiences is not one of my strong points. I'm sure by looking at other graduates that if not a letter by the end of the week we should get a phone call . They said usually the third weeks they were able to call home. My phone and the mailman right now are my best friend.

Thank you 2TymeNavyMom! That pic was 2 days after my last ovarian cancer surgery. I've been a mailbox stalker and obsessive phone checker all week!! I am hoping to hear something soon. I know no news is good news, but still. Lol. Fingers crossed that we all get a call or letter soon!!

GregsMom I'm so bad at waiting...for ANYthing, but especially this!! I checked the mail twice today!! I answer my phone on the first ring! Lol. I keep getting calls (telemarketers I guess) that say unknown 1 or private 1. I say hello and then I hear a hang up. Soooo frustrating. Fingers crossed for us all!!!

The worst part of this is he is only 2 1/2 hours away. If they would let me in I would drive there. Maybe it's better
for Greg that they won't let me in! It would be great if all of the guys from the division were allowed to call home.
It would help all of us to be able to share how our "kids" are doing")
Have you thought about a graduation gift? Not sure what my son would want, but I guess I have a few weeks.

I've been thinking a lot about gifts. I have been thinking about a watch. I want to get him a new laptop, but I want his input on that. I really haven't settled on anything yet. Have you come up with any ideas? Wow, you are so close by!! I live in Illinois, but near St. Louis.

Just got a call from Greg - He sounded health and happy! Before he went to camp he had all the dental work done by our dentist. At that time they did xrays and found out that he has no wisdom teeth. My other kids gave him a really hard time about not having any wisdom until I reminded them that most people have to have their wisdom teeth removed. I guess it's a pretty big plus now!
I also found out that he is actually on Ship 14 Div 307. He said he got some mail, but I'm thinking some of it didn't make it because of the Ship being incorrect on the envelopes. I hope he gets them though. The only thing he wanted be to do was post his address on facebook for his friends to write. Hopefully they will do it.
