Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 307 and 308

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

It sounds like several of us are in the same boat. My husband leaves for Korea this Sunday and our 16 year old son leaves to study in Costa Rica for the next year on the 18th! So three of my guys gone at once. We are praying Dad can fly back for Ryan's PIR.

I hope he can make the PIR also!

Gregsmom, my husband left Sunday on TDY for the military.  It's too quiet now.  He will be back to go to PIR, but in the meantime it's one more adjustment I'm trying to deal with.  So much has happened so fast here, I'm trying to get used to so many changes, with one of the biggest being my son leaving.  Now my husband is gone, too.  I had a bad day today.  I was stressed and managed to give myself a major headache.  I pray tomorrow is better for us all.

OklahomaMama - I hope today has started out better for you.  Please know that I keep you and your family in my prayers.

Anybody miss their phone call this weekend due to bad connections on pay phone...my son is tried calling but there was nothing there...we tried calling back and it said that the phone does not accept incoming calls. My wife was really upset about it.  We were never told about a phone card or anything, so we bought a couple and got some from Calls For Recruits and overnighted them to him...Hopefully we don't have that problem the next time.

The first call that came through was a bad connection and we were pretty upset too. We started to try to call it back too and while doing so Ryan called again. That connection was fine and we talked for a few minutes. He was one of the last in line and had to wrap it up as the RDC was rounding them all back up. He thought it would be a couple weeks before he called again but would write. He had not gotten any of our letters yet that we had addressed to Ship 13.

Just an update...we received 3 letters yesterday from our SR!!! So glad to hear from him.  He is in Ship 14 Div 308.  He said he is section leader and backup M4.  So very proud of him!

To everyone who wrote words of encouragement yesterday - thank you!  I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to me to have someone to share this with.  Someone posted that my SR will always be my child, but I realized that he will never again be my little boy.  I am grateful for the young man I sent to boot camp and for the Sailor I will find when I go to PIR.

I burned my blue candle last night for all of our SR's and will keep you and our SR's in my prayers that they will all achieve the goals they set for themselves.  Honor, Courage, Commitment.

Ship 14 Div 307 families...keep your phone handy Sunday.

You have insider information?  LOL, thanks for the reminder.

2tymeNavymom, I kind of do. My son has a staff position so he knows when everything is scheduled through PIR. He told me if things go well this week they should get calls Sunday. He gave a time, but that could change. Just want everyone to know there is a good chance of a call, so everyone can be ready. :)

If you don't mind me asking are your sons initails B.A.R.?  My son has made a new friend that is really helping get through bootcamp.  My son is staff as well I think.  He does the scheduling for the Division.
