N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Zane's mom,

You can't walk to PIR from the Navy Lodge.  It is all street, no sidewalks.  You can drive your own vehicle or can take Sarge's shuttle for $3.00 per person each way.  Either sign up when to be picked up at the Meet & Greet or contact Sarge at 847-212-0246 if you cannot attend the Meet & Greet the night before PIR.

We are going to be staying at the Navy Lodge. should we plan on walking to the PIR hall or can we drive our car from the Lodge?

Good thing to remind him, Zane's mom.  It is true that A School is a whole different experience!

You are very welcome, Kate.  Please let me now how Steven's is for steak...post when you get back from PIR.  And if you would recommend it to others!

Got a call from my SR today. Wasn't expecting it and I was so excited. Missed his last call. He got 22 minutes, the whole group ship 12, div 280, got cut back because of other SR's bad behavior. He sounded very frustrated. Just reassured him that he only had 4 more weeks and it would be better in A school. My heart is happy....

Got a call from our SR in div 278. He sounds really good and very excited about how he has been doing. Says that the Div is working together and getting into the swing of things. Can't wait to see him at graduation. Hope everyone gets calls.

So, just got a 21 minute and 46 second call from my SR - ship 3 DIV 276! So excited! He has been LIVING on Cinnamon Toast Crunch (because he is the pickiest eater!), and his big news of this call? He has moved on to Cheerios! Lord I miss that boy!

Got a call today from my son, 279. He sounded good! He said he got a Bravo Zulu for shining his shoes--mind you this boy would always carry mud from his boots in our house! He said the food was AWESOME! He said he ate his entire plate--every time. He says after boot camp he is going to be doing helicopter reconnaissance, I have zero clue what that entails. He said that the letters have meant a lot to him ☺️! I asked him about eating after graduation, he said he is definitely going to want steak, THANK YOU dinnep for the recommendation, it looks awesome! Can't wait till August 21st!!!! StacyMRC2,hope you get a call today too!! Have a good weekend everyone!!
