Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 257 and 258

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

So excited to meet other Moms with recruits in these two divisions. My son is in div 257.

My son is also in div 257.  Spoke with him Saturday.... It was great to finally talk to him without medical issues or possible medical discharge.  He seemed so much happier!!!

My son is in div.257. Talked to him Saturday afternoon. He sounds happier then he did before. Can't wait to see him!!

I missed my sons call on Saturday. Every time I see the missed calls, I get sad. He called like 7 times, he was really trying to get me. Hope he calls back soon.

So glad I am not the only one who missed a call. I missed the first "I made it" call because my new phone didn't ring. I cried all day. I missed the second call cuz hubby didn't recognize area code and let it go to voice mail. I cried for most of the week until I finally got to talk to him this past Sat. I didn't cry when he went off to Kindergarten, I didn't cry when he went off to high school or college but I have made up for it for boot camp. My son is in Div 258

Good morning!

I just found this area and thought I would say hi! My son is in 258.

Linda, were you able to see division 258's photo posted on FB last week? That came just in time for me and brightened my day. It's on the Recruit Training Command's FB page. Let me know if you need more info to find it.

Motorcitymom, which division is your son in?

aj's mom, Just want to say hi and let you know I am praying for both divisions!

Wendy

Thank you! Thank You! I just found the picture and my boy. I cried. He looks mad, but then again it was taken at 5am and he hasn't been awake before 1pm in like 2 years.

You totally made my day as well as hubby and quite a few others.

Linda

Linda,

You're welcome. I know I really needed to see it too. I would hate to think of anyone missing it.

Hope you had a nice weekend.

Wendy

My son is also 258.  I am very excited to see him at PIR.  I saw that a picture was on FB but I couldn't find it.  Can you help?  I am not very tech savvy.

And sorry for butting in on your conversation with Linda.  I couldnt figure out how to just send you a message!  Ugh!

@ CONavyMom,  on Facebook  look for Armed Services Blood  program, Great lakes Il.  I believe you have to like them to see the pictures. Not sure. But scroll down till Aug 1 Division 257/258. And there are pictures of both divisions donating blood. Good luck, hope your SR is in the pictures. I hope this is helpful.

Did anyone hear from their SR's today?  Got a letter Friday said he passed swim and pt. qualifications. But really wanted to hear his voice.

I waited all day Sat for a call from my SR(div 258) too, but nothing. Maybe today??

I haven't received any mail from him either but the facebook pic is keeping it together for me. I have it in my phone now.
