Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

It will be late tonight when we get there so I will check in with everyone tomorrow. The good news is our Sailor is meeting us there. So we will get to spend the weekend with her as well. She is surprising her sister with a new bike so she won't have to walk to classes :-) Please keep us all in your prayers as we travel. Thanks so much, Lala

Comment by ethansmom on August 17, 2012 at 2:24pm: Hi diannep-- since we are all waiting for call today..div 261 thru 264 that is ..do you think they go in order by div?..trying to picture hundred plus running to phones..so i wonder if there is a order?..i know from navydep.com its 1-7 their time with duties after BS ..and so cool you say they get to go to bed early with CC tomorrow they will need their energy!
