For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Geraley T on July 26, 2012 at 7:15pm: I just got a letter from my son! So excited and anxious. Apparently there have been major issues with Div 268. He has been moved into the PASS program and will be taken out of this division. This is NOT a discilinary action, just something that the chaplain recommended. It is all for the best though. He will be graduating in September with his new division. It has been a pleasure getting to know each one of you! Good luck to you and your SRs!

Comment by diannep on July 26, 2012 at 1:32pm: trevizofam: If you have names of these SRs who need mail, you can tell the ladies on here that you have names/addresses (can't post them here) and ask them to message you for them if they would like to write to them (we can private message them, just can't publicly post). I have done this many times and the SRs are so appreciative. Address info would be the same as for your SR, but you would need first/last names. You might ask your SR for these names....

Glad you got the email situation fixed. I had the same thing...can become overwhelming!

ethansmom: HA! They LOVE mail and sure wouldn't find your life boring!

Lexxie: Don't think the SRs have BattleStations info yet, but should soon. They will be the ones to share it with you...but I do ask that ladies private message it to me because I keep a schedule for those who may not hear from their SR. That is an exciting time because they are sailors when they are finished!

Comment by trevizofam on July 26, 2012 at 11:52am: Got a few letters from my SR yesterday. I felt sad about some other fellow SR in the same div that do not get much support. All of them need support and motivation in knowing they are doing a GREAT thing for their future. I just wanted to share.
