Well, I got the dreaded call today. My son got into trouble for passing notes and talking to a female recruit. He was doing so well too. He will not be graduating on the 24th- he will now be graduating on the 7th. It is with regret that I will be leaving this group. The punishment is a 2 week delay, they said it will not affect his career or go into his file, so that is good. Now I have tons of reworking to do in order to get everything changed. I wish everyone the very best and wish your Sr's a great career.

On this day, July 23rd, 2010 my Sailor graduated from boot camp. I cannot believe it has been two years. It is amazing how fast time slips through your hands once they leave the nest. I am so very proud of her and all her accomplishments. She is an amazing young woman and the US Navy is so lucky to have her as part of their fleet.

lol, I wasn't drinking but if I was I would share. I think it was my computer. It looks like someone messed with the brightness on my screen but I couldn't find anything wrong with it. So weird.

Could someone please post the site for the division Tshirts ordering again?  I think it was usnavyts or something like that?

They weren't able to start getting everyone out until late Friday afternoon. It is very sad out here.

I always appreciate a good sense of humor, ellen!  A very positive trait!

Heard today on the news that the sailor who was killed in the movie theater killings was pulled outside by his sailor buddies....enforcing the "no shipmate left behind" theory.  So touching.  His parents did not get confirmation of his death from the Navy until midnight on Fri night....

diannep: He is a riot and he got it from his grandpa (me too of course ), my dad bet with the fleet commander as to who could get their ship parked closest to the dock, needless to say my dad drank free that night.    Belly Laugh      My uncle a  Navy "transport" pilot didn't like Bob Hope (a whole bunch of stories there). I have lots of Navy stories from several different relatives.

All of you here are already accumulating them from your SRs cherish them from the beginning.

They look the same to me Lala, have you been drinking again, and if so why are you not sharing, if not drinking then I would guess it's your computer.

Do these PIR group pages look different to anyone else? Mine look very different but I'm not sure if it's this site or my computer.
