Business size envelopes with security lining not an issue, pink ones, purple ones, green ones, yellow ones, one with stickers or xxxooo on them etc...maybe (only because the RDCs like to point them out).

Fat ones, odd shaped ones, squishy ones, "stiff" ones etc...most likely an issue because it gives some indication that it is not just a letter.

I recommend no musical cards filled with glitter, bandaids and q-tips that are mailed in a chartreuse envelope with stickers of Barney and xxxxoooo printed on the outside.  Snickering

Mail and its "handling" really is up to the RDC for your SRs division. Some RDCs don't care what comes in the mail (within reason) for one division and may be hard on another, or perhaps the day just calls for more IT.  :).

So, if it looks and feels like a letter it probably is a letter, if it looks and feels like something else don't send it.

I got a real letter from my son today! Yea! He sounded like he wasn't being challenged much, but that was the way I felt too. Before I went to boot camp I was running 4 miles one night and 6 miles the next. The most I ever ran in boot camp was 1 1/2 miles for PT. He said he doesn't like all of the folding and polishing, but it is all a part of the plan to pay attention to detail. He wrote his girlfriend and said he gets yelled at a lot! Oh well, he can handle it. I was just happy to get a real letter from him!

Got my letter today too :) hunter also mentioned the butt shot. He said he got the shot 3 days ago and his butt still hurts :( but he sounded good and like he is adjusting well. He didn't mention any of the fighting that was mentioned in another post, but did say some of the guys in his division were idiots so they were doing a lot of IT (??). But, happy happy happy to hear fom him. I was shaking so bad I could hardly open the envelope. Haha

I am sorry to read of the trouble . I would have never thought about that. My son had so many antibiotics as kid for ears etc he finally had tonsils adenoids and ears drained and never needed antibiotic after . I'm wondering why they get them in first place ? What sick do they get in first week that they need fixing from serious med like that .. Ive heard of using low grade amoxicillian as preventative but Hhmmm another topic for my letters ! .. Anyway I will keep you iny thoughts and hope things work out the way you want :)

Momof5- so excited thrilled etc to hear of your letter of happiness . All those pages of info !..I never expected a lady to be watching boys .. Never thought that .. And the cussing from a lady I pictured men screaming at him like you see in the movies .. My Poor guy he already had me telling him pick this up pick that up ;).. I was thinking he was going to get more of a father figure that he lacked !
