Race's Mom- thanks I appreciate any info. We will definitely try to go.

Ethansmom - If you haven't already, you also might want to check into Milwaukee if looking for best price.  We are going to make a vacation out of it as well so we are doing the flights on Allegiant wed-mon.

Races mom this is from my phone so typing disclaimer is in effect! .. As to Delta I went and checked and it's about same as SW non refund type so .. Who knows ?!;)..but SW doesn't have bag fees just wish it wasn't midway only for SW but tomorrow is day to discuss this with my daughter and make up mind.. Wish me luck that and car rental on agenda !

As to writing I feel bad I didn't get his official address till 5th so first letters didn't go out till 6th .. But he'll have to deal with it and I will try to makeup for it from now on :)..as to hanging in ,, well I'm emotional and still haven't done his laundry and passing by his empty room everyday is hard but I'm sure I'll feel better when letters start coming.. I hope he writes .. Before he left he told me not to count on too many cuz he'd be busy :(.. Hoping he's homesick just enough to change his mind :)

Race's Mom-  good to know - thank you.  We definitely need to stay past Saturday then so we can possibly get more time with him.

Hunter518-Seating hasn't really been an issue for us - we each get 2 spots.  LOL. My girls are under 12, so we are fine there.  My Mom is coming and knows she may or may not actually get in.

At first I wasn't planning on going to San Antonio for anything, but if we can afford to we will probably try to go.  Per mapquest it's a 13 hour drive for us, so it's possible.  I don't know anything about A school, as far as weekends off or graduation ceremonies.  Maybe a veteran can help us there.  :)

My apologies...I should have posted this already. One of the easier ways to stay connected with the whole PIR group and connect on another level with those within your SR's division is to start division discussions up above in the Discussion Forum. This way its just less group hopping for some...and you can all kind of stay together more.
To start a discussion:
Click "Add Discussion" at the lower left corner of the Discussion Forum. It's just above the comment box here.
A new page will open. Type in the title...a good simple one would just be "Ship ## Div ### "...and add a short greeting in the text box.
Click "Save" at the bottom right.
Please create only ONE discussion per Division...again to keep y'all together!
Make sure you stay on the main wall Herr as we veteran moms are on a bout 7-8 active PIR groups at a time as well as a few others. We try to get to the division discussions as much as possible.
The Divison discussions are viewable to all...so make sure you practice good OPSEC their as well.

I am on my phone...so sorry for any typos.

I'm not leaving this group, just thought a smaller division group would make it easier to get to know each other! :)

I'm not sure. He mentioned quartermaster. Is that a job? Understand my son is a lot older than most recruits so contact with his recruiter was nil.
