How do you find out what school they will be going to after PIR.
Comment by diannep on July 7, 2012 at 11:01am

ethansmom:  On Southwest's tickets....they aren't refundable, but if you don't use it, you have up to a yr to use it.  No change fee, 2 checked bags for free.

Yes, loveofanavy....ships are air conditioned.  As far as seeing your SR on 8/10, not sure about that.  You would have to have the password to get on base and be a "guest" on someone's list.  You could call the Public Affairs Office and ask about that on Monday:  847-688-2405

MoMof4:  Just remember to keep checking back on this page for info!  We will be providing it each and every day!

Good morning all!

Got a short letter from my daughter.  So excited.  Ship 11 Div 262.  Got reservations all ready for the graduation.  She will be leaving for A school to Florida.

I just created a group for Ship 9 Div 268.  I sent invites to those on my friends list, but anyone else with a SR in that division is more than welcome to join...I have a really hard time keeping up with everyone in this group!

Klh17. I know how it is splitting time between families! My ex will be attending PIR also (seating has been a big issue) but he says he is not staying after PIR. They will be driving back. I'm baffled that he doesn't wasn't to stay and spend time with his son, but glad because they means more time for me :)
you should have most of Friday to spend with your son.
Will y'all be trying to go to SA at all? Idk how A school is. Do they have weekends off? There is a lot to do in SA. I'm only about 3 1/2 hrs away.

Hunter518 - He is going to A School in San Antonio to be a Corpsman.  I'm pretty certain we will stay longer just in case we can get more time with him, as any time he does have, he has to split between the 2 families.
