Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by MomOf4 on August 20, 2012 at 7:20pm: I just wanted to wish you all a great PIR week. My son has been home for 4 weeks and has been itching to get back. He has tendonitis in his shoulder, so going back will most likely not be an option.

I haven't forgotten about you all and wish you and your sailors the best!!

Comment by NCNavyMom on August 20, 2012 at 3:16pm: Our girl is a SAILOR!!! Div 266. Seh said everyone passed Battlestation but they lost a couple in their division due to not passing other tests.

Now that I think of it...I would think its required in a Navy Lodge...a Sailor without an iron? LOL Just bein' silly.....
