Ok, I never ever want to feel another earthquake.  I can't believe we just had an earthquake in Maryland.  5.8 was big enough to scare me.  Things were falling off the shelves in our apartment, roof sounded like it was going to cave in, (I'm on top floor) so I ran outside to get out of the building.  Convinced me that I will never want to live in CA.

I sent out a group message last night with the BStation dates I have.

I just added a questionnaire to the discussions above. I made this one to send to my daughter when she was there. It has a very good paragraph full of encouragement for battle stations. I sent it about a week before so it would be fresh in her mind. I even sent extra copies for her to give to her friends so they would have the encouragement too. You may have to tweak it a little to make it your own because it was written for a girl but check it out. All you have to do is copy and paste it.

Another thing to remember is that you are not allowed to take photos or videos outside on base.  If they catch you they will erase it.

Ladies, I know that it's a little bit late for this information, but don't forget about Priceline.com if you have to book a rental car for PIR.  I am going to see my sailor in Pensacola, but we are flying into Panama City and driving to Pensacola.  I have been looking at rental car prices for a couple of weeks and didn't see anything less than $40 for the type of car that I wanted to rent.  Ugh!  Tonight, I thought, oh what the heck, I'll try Priceline.    I stated that I wanted to pay $20 a day.  I got a response back right away that they accepted that!.  Woohoo, that saved me quite a bit of money over the course of 5 days.  :)

sleepgirl: Thanks for the BStations info, but we can't post on here...so please delete your message!  That is not the date that I was given...I was told that it was changed.

I'll send out a group message now with what I have.  Check your personal email for it, not email on this site.
