My youngest son is also joining the Navy. He is a senior this year and just turned 18. He also wants to be an air rescue swimmer. He has been on the rescue squad here at home for 2 years and now that he is 18 he can "run" with lights when going on a call. He was so excited last night when he got home from a call. Was his excitement because once he helped the 90 yr old lady up off the floor she was fine and didn't need to go to the hospital? NO, lol he was excited because a cop pulled over and moved out of his way on the way to the call. Boys!!! lol

My son is also heading to dive school after graduation! I received a letter from him today and he finally answered some of my questions, like what they will be doing this week, who is his bunk mate, if he still has his wisdom teeth, etc!

my son is for dive school as  well.  He told me that they have EOD, divers and rescue swimmers in his division and that they have all shared information on what they learned about what their A school will be like.

My SR, in 819, is for dive school.  They must mix everyone in together.

Wellen: my SR, in 819, is there for air rescue swimmer. I was wondering the same thing about 818 after what happened.....

Sparkeys_Piglet: hahahaa, that's funny because that's how our conversation was! As if we don't remember their voices =)

Mary, You rock, thanks for the video of Battle Stations and the idea of sharing points...I am checking on it.

My SR is in 818 which is for wannabe SWCCs and air rescue swimmers, I believe. What is 819 comprised of being a brother division?  Just curious, we were talking about it after this weekend's tragedy.  Thanks.

I went to look at the other 2 letters he had sent, he only signed his first name on those, maybe he thinks I forgot our last name. HAHA Funny kid!!   He did say he was doing well and I am happy for that.

In all the times I have reread my SR's letters, I never realized that he, too, signed his last name!  Ha!  How funny!
