We ordered division shirts and are going to wear those to grad with some nice  black casual pants, skirt & dressy (comfortable) shoes.

NICE CASUAL is what we suggest, momofjess.  You will see "everything" there but you need to be comfortable while looking nice next to your sailors, who will be dressed in their finest.  Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as there is some walking involved.  Seating is in bleachers so consider that as well.

Hi all,

not sure what to wear to daughter's graduation..any ideas?

trcolitti:  The SRs are given a chance to order the division tshirts (mine didn't order, but I did).  Some order them to "surprise" their families with them after PIR. Maybe your SR hasn't been offered the opportunity to order them yet, but you can go to the website that wamomofchris posted below.  That form has the phone numbers on it for any questions.  If you order it NOW, you may get it before PIR.

And, yes, the ribbons will get to you before PIR.  Lala priority mails them...but don't wait to long before ordering them from her!

Just a reminder, Ladies, that if you are using your SR's last name in your screen name, please change that.  We can not use their last names on this site.  Against OPSEC rules which are for the security of our military.

Also, for anyone looking to order PIR ribbons from Lala, please go to her page:

Lala Ribbon Queen

You can see samples of her ribbons there and get in touch with her from there.

^^^^^^^^Ladies, you should start receiving BattleStations dates from your SRs soon.  Please ask them.

We can no longer post BattleStations dates on this site.  So....if you would like to receive updates on these as they come in to you all from your SRs, I am asking you all to do this:

Please go to SETTINGS up in the top right of this page (under your screen name).  Then go to EMAIL in there.  Please place a check in front of "a message from one of my groups."  That way, we can all send out/receive dates you get from your SRs using the "Send Message to Group" prompt at the top of the PIR page.  I will be maintaining a schedule from this emails and will send it out the same way.

I have become overwhelmed on a couple of the PIR groups with trying to message BatlteStations dates because some don't have this feature checked and are not getting the group emails.  So they want the date personally emailed to them...which can take a while to do...especially when there are changes.  So I'm hoping that with this group, we can get our info out with the Send Message to Group feature.  My page is private (for security reasons) which means that all would have to friend request me before being able to get the info.  Just an involved process that has caused me an extra hour of time on the site each day.

So please change this feature in your SETTINGS now so that you can receive any info about BattleStations.  Thanks!

Remember, they can only write on Sundays.  I have received three letters, the last three Thursdays and he started 7/11.  No news is good news. I read, and was reassured, by senior miltary,  that they are watched very closely and are safe.

Ribbons can be ordered from Lala...check the bootcamp group.

Brijones31, may I say that I share your dismay.  We haven't hear a thing from our SR either and I feel  the same way, no news is good news.  But I would like nothing more than to go out to the mailbox today and find a whole bunch of letters!  I feel like we know only the very basics about what is going on.  Very frustrating.
