Thank you Wamo,
I will get my shirts ordered today and cross my fingers!!!!
I see people talking and referring to ribbons and tshirts.
Can anyone tell me where I might find this information at? I would love to have both but do not know where to look.
He sent his box and form letter to his GF. She has been great and we share all our news with each other but she doesnt know of any tshirts or ribbons?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Morning Ladies,
I got a question for anyone who might no the answer.
First let me say that I still have not heard from my son since the 1 phone call two weeks ago. Getting a little worried but I guess NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS. I am praying all is well but I'm feeling a little upset reading that everyone else is receiving letters and phones calls. Oh well, just pray for me to receive something soon. I am soooo counting down til 9/1.
Here is my question, I plan to order my ribbons and t-shirts on tomorrow because that's when I get paid. Do you know if I will receive the items before I leave on 8/31? Can anyone answer that question please??? I'm also ordering my plane tickets as well tomorrow, I will be staying from Wed morning - Sat evening at the Ramada Inn.
BritneyMarie: They will be paying lots of $$$ if they wait until the week of to buy those plane tickets, I would think. Oh well!
Wow, thank you Wellen and Diannep-Veteran!
I just bought my plane ticket today and am hoping that my boyfriends parents are wanting to go down there, but when I talked to them today they did not want to buy their plane tickets or anything until the week of. That's not an option for me because I'm a full time college student and work part time so the sooner the better!
I promised my guy that I would be there and right now am looking into options in case they don't follow through. So thank you both again!
diannep is right!! Sarge is well known on the (A)school side of base. His phone number is posted in the entrance of my son's Barracks.
BritneyMarie: Call "Sarge" for transporation. He will not only get you to GL (probably cheaper than the shuttle) but he will give you tons of info too! He is retired military and helps out many of the Navy families with transportation during PIR weekend. Nothing but rave reviews for him on here. He is even known on the A School base there!
Here's his number:
"Sarge"
847-212-0246
No, I will now haha. Thank you!
Also, has your son said anything about when he is leaving for A school or where he's going? I noticed that he is a Nuke and so is my SR so they may travel together!
