I am getting excited for PIR as well Ash.
Oh PeruvianMami I hope your baby girl is feeling better soon and you get some rest.
mapes- so sorry you both missed the calls. At least you can go back and listen to the voicemail and hear her voice whenever you want :-) When my daughter left MEPS for the airport I didn't know I could have waited with her so I headed back home ( a 2 hour drive). I told her to call me before her flight which was 3 hours after I left. But I reminded her to wait an hour because I would have a long stretch of road with no signal. She took advantage of that "no signal" and called and left me a nice long message. She told me how much she loved me and appreciated me and how I should try not to worry because this was what she really wanted and she was going to be just fine. She also said it is probably a good thing GL is so far away from NC because you would probably be out there trying to scale the fence (so true lol) I love you, I miss you and I will see you as soon as I can prove to all these old RDC's that I have what it takes to become a United States Sailor. See you soon!" Well I can tell you I listened to that message anytime I was missing her really bad. And in the beginning that was a lot :-)
My SR called tonight and my wonderful verizon wireless didnt pick up the call. She called her dad and told him Happy Birthday. His phone also went to voicemail. She sounded good and said that she got a 10 min phone call for winning a shirt folding contest, Finally something positive. Just very upsetting that we missed her reward call. I hate verizon!
