ok, so what do I need to Skype with my Sailor when he's in A-school? He's my IT guy and won't be here to set it up so I'll have to figure it out on my own....HELP!!!

Skype is awesome, I Skype with my Sailor at least once a week. We have even skyped during our fav TV show so it is like we are watching it together lol.

No, no rain.  But, then again, hubnado took the van to work this morning so the kidnados couldn't wash it to make it rain.  lol

No kidding on the communication.  We have skype now and my hubnadoe got us all new phones with unlimited data and texting now so we'll be able to communicate without breaking the bank.

I hope they get a flight out Sunday morning so we can give him his electronic essentials at the airport.  :)  I think we hop on the train Sunday afternoon.  So that would be the best case scenario for us.  :)  However, Murphy is a wee pain in the rump, and he'll prolly leave early Friday morning and we'll be wondering around Illinois wondering what to do with ourselves.

Ditto SP, I'm preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.  I saw that too and just figured it was wishful thinking on the SRs part.

It's hard to believe we're half way in, wow, I'm so glad the time is flying by! I miss my SR soooooo much, ( don't we all..lol ) and can't wait to see him in his dress whites! He called last Friday and sounded so great! He sounded so grown up! I just could not believe my ears. I am so very proud of him, the transformation is truly amazing! He left my baby boy,( you know, part time pizza delivery driver, stayed up all night playing video games and slept all day)..and will return ( my baby boy, he'll be 30 and still my baby boy ) a man in the US Navy! I thank you all for helping me through this. This site/support group is fantastic. Especially to you DIANNEP-VETERAN, thank you for your information, answering all my questions,it is truly a blessing to have people like you on this site to help us mom/wives/gf's through this rough time of being away from our children. Much luv to you all! GO NAVY!!!!

Thank you diannep-veteran, that was a beautiful tribute from his father. Just heartbreaking.

We lost a sailor last week.  Thought you may want to read the beautiful tribute by his father:
