Dave'sMom:  Your call can come anytime today since it is the day before PIR.  Hoping that you changed your cell voicemail message to greet your new sailor if it comes when you are in flight!  Congrats!

At Hobby Airport waiting to fly into Chicago! So excited to see my baby boy!! Any moms/wives from div 07/290...I still haven't rec'vd a call...when should or should I expect one?

That sounds nice and relaxing. I keep forgetting that part of my trip is an actual "vacation". If nothing else, I'll get a break from my little ones for a while. Not that I won't miss them - but a break is always nice - or so I've heard!

giasams - If the weather is nice...get a drink from the NEX and sit in the middle of the fields (you'll see what I mean when you get there) and watch the geese. If you get lucky you might see some div marching and calling cadence. I would have loved to do that...but I did not because I think my Sailor wanted to get as far away from base as he could!
Comment by giasams on August 30, 2011 at 11:06pm
fireteamleaderwife: thanks for the info. I guess I'll just have to wait around since I'm not driving down or renting a car, so I'll be stuck there until she's ready to leave. She did say it might take a while. Oh well, I'm not complaining!
